Hypocrite

I see not the glowing sun
Flooding the world with its light
But simply frown as it disappears
When comes the time of night

A radiant rainbow covers my view
Yet rain is all I hear
The pittar pattar of the raindrops
Dries all colors ever there

I gaze at the dazzling forest
Seduced by the trees in the wind
But when they ask me to describe
‘Sloth is a deadly sin’

I beg and beg and pray to God
When life takes an unkindly turn
Once all is fine I simply shrug
“It was hardly of any concern”

Every goal I eagerly set
Fades away once I’m there
A fresh new one comes up
Leading to a distant nowhere
